Heart for Orphans – Wild Edition More Info

Immerse yourself in both the culture and wildlife of South Africa at Heart for Orphans – Wild Edition!

This program is perfect for anyone looking to work with a local community but also experience the South African wildlife. Volunteers will be able to work side by side locals in a community not far from Kruger National Park. Also experience the Big 5 in their natural habitat at Kruger National Park by participating in Game Drive and Bush Walks.

The mornings will be spent at a local community working with African mamas to help prepare meals for over 150+ kids. The children of this community depend on receiving both lunch and dinner from this program and the support of volunteers is important to ensuring they all get fed. Volunteers also assist at a school and are encouraged to bring their talents and expertise to help play and teach the children. For example if you love to paint then we can pick up painting supplies and you can paint with the children. In the afternoon, volunteers will be able to relax at the accommodation, swim in the pool or simply enjoy the scenery of Kruger National Park. Volunteers will be able to participate in afternoon game drives and bush walks through Kruger National Park.
Volunteers will stay in shared permanent tents with electricity (2-6 people/tent). Tents will be located steps away from bathrooms.
