|Accommodation:||Volunteers will stay in traditional African huts. They consist of 3 sleepers, 2 sleepers and 1 sleeper rooms. Each hut has it’s own bathroom apart from the 1 sleepers who will use an external communal bathroom.|
|Work Schedule:||Monday – Arrival
Tuesday -Friday: (7am to 4pm)
Activities include; early morning game drives, an educational day at Morani information centre, tracking and identification training, working at the old chimps holding facility, bush walk and tactical survival training, visit outreach programs around the outskirts of the conservancy and assist community members in building needed assets. Visit childrens centres in Laikipia county and spend time with the kids.
Working with the Northern White Rhinos which includes clean-up and evening feeding, early morning caregiving routines and other behind the scene activities!
Saturday Morning: Rhino work and chimp clean-up
|Menu:||You will receive three wholesome meals a day during your programme. All your food is cooked fresh every day. If you do not eat meat or have any dietary requirements, please let us know so we can arrange other options for you.|
|Outings:||Visit Nanyuki Town, Nyahururu Town, go to the local markets, Mount Kenya hike.|
|Required||Travel and medical Insurance. Insurance is a requirement of this program, as you will be exposed to the raw wonders of nature.|
