icon_accommodation Accommodation: Volunteers will stay in the volunteer beach house with 3 bathrooms and a porch looking out onto the ocean. 24 hours security provided as well as volunteer co-ordinator living on site. Shared accommodation, separate male and female rooms.
icon_accommodation Work Schedule: Monday – Thursday: (7am to 4pm) Boat Based Diving or Boat Based Ocean Exploration (4 Boat Trips a week), scientific data and photo ID collection, data entry onto web based science portals, discussing different scientific models being used by our scientists, monitoring underwater camera trap footage, monitoring community based marine breeding area protection, collection of data for plastic pollution study and collection of plankton samples.

Friday: Excursion. (Estuary reef snorkelling or Coastal reefs trips)

Saturday Morning: Beach clean-up / marine lessons teaching local children from our local swimming program.

Sunday: Day OFF

icon_menu Menu: You will receive three lovely wholesome meals a day during your programme. You may either eat at the lodge restaurant and sometimes there will be a braai. All your food is cooked fresh every day and there tends to be a lot of seafood eaten. Tofo is quite remote so a lot of food supplies are brought in weekly. If you do not eat seafood or have any dietary requirements, please let us know so we can arrange other options for you.
icon_outings Outings: Pandane Coral Gardens, trip to the estuary, local school trips, sunset beach trips, visit local villages, Barra (white sands) beach bonfire and sunset, whale watching and additional megafauna watching at Tofino back beach and many more!
icon_required Required Travel Insurance, Medical Insurance, Dive and/or DAN insurance (up to 35-40 meters). Insurance is a requirement of this program, as you will be exposed to the raw wonders of nature, while on the program.
