Past Volunteers

It was amazing to volunteer at the Lion Park. I was very anxious to start this work in South Africa and I already knew that I would like it. But it was so much better than I imagined, I realised this since my first day at the Lion Park. I really loved everything: people, animals, work... I learned a lot of things and I need to thank you for all. . . .

Working in the Lion Park was a memorable experience, a real life lesson. Even if only for 2 weeks, you can learn a lot about life, how to relate to people and live with them. You can know people from around the world. Here you interact with the animals, play with them, watch over them, but not only that, you can also interact with tourists , which . . .

Before living this amazing experience I thought I knew Lions, but I was wrong. Lions are just like us, they need some time to get to know you and to let you be part of their lives. Now they know me, and I realise how loving animals really are! That was the best.

Volunteering in Africa has always been a dream to me. When my sister and I saw the advert about it, we could not believe it. We spent almost 2 years planning the trip and as the months passed, we got more and more excited about it. Finally 2013 arrived, and we would come to South Africa. I'm very happy to be at Lion Park getting to know new people and having different experiences interacting with the animals. Thank you to my new friends and staff.
