LIVING WITH Sharks Volunteer Program

Past Volunteer Experiences!

Program Overview

This unique experience allows volunteers to immerse themselves in a true marine environment at the southernmost tip of Africa. Work alongside marine biologists and researchers to continue to gain insights into several species of sharks.

Volunteers will learn about scientific research techniques, shark biology, ecotourism, shark management and marine conservation. Gain hands on experience by fishing sharks then collecting and entering data. In addition toe fishing and tagging, volunteers may have an opportunity to assist with educating the local community about sharks and the vital role they play in the ecosystem.

Throughout their time, volunteers will have an opportunity to participate in a swimming with great white sharks excursion!
